As of today, it is official.
My OWN, FIRST picture book, IS IT OVER? is not yet ready for sale (at an independent bookseller in your neighborhood, or an online shopping cart) but it will be, on July 6, 2021!
For today, though, the cover reveal is featured with an interview on the amazing blog of a friend, colleague, and coach extraordinaire, Rochelle Melander.

I am thrilled to have reached this day!
In the publishing world, a cover reveal is as much a "NO TURNING BACK NOW!" shout to the world as it is an "I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS IS HAPPENING!" swoon of excitement. I hope that you'll click over to Rochelle's post to read some or all of my guest post about this book and how it came to be.
In case you are in a hurry, though, THIS IS IT!

I had quite a bit to say about this book in an interview on Rochelle's blog, so I'd love to have you read it. It includes a few sneak peeks from interior images, too. And while I'm talking about the illustrations, I can't share this news without singing the praises of the incredibly sensitive, lighthearted, and heart-tugging narrative art that brings this simple story to life. This appealing interpretation of my storytelling is thanks to the talent of artist Rebecca S. Hirsch. Click on her name to get a look at even more of the interior pages.
Learn more about the illustrator, including checking out the blog on her website.
Rebecca S. Hirsch is an illustrator and member of the Wisconsin chapter of SCBWI. She lives with her husband and daughters in Waukesha.
You can find her online at:

Before long I'll be able to share more about this book, but for now, just to show you that there actually is a book behind this cover reveal, here are the details:
